Providing Professionally Trained Medical Assistants Ready for the Workforce

Well-trained medical assistants are vital members of the healthcare team who improve patient care and help facilities operate more efficiently. Charter Career Academy provides comprehensive training to develop workforce ready medical assistants who are empowered for successful careers in the healthcare space.

Upon completion of the Medical Assistant program, graduates will be able to:

  • Work as an entry-level medical assistant in a variety of healthcare settings
  • Conduct necessary administrative tasks for a medical office setting
  • Perform phlebotomy tasks such as blood draws, lab prep, and sample labels
  • Identify, understand, and use common healthcare terminology in anatomy, physiology, and general patient care

Medical Assistant National Certification Exam

As part of the Medical Assistant training program, participants are offered a 180-hour externship program at a local clinic, physician’s office, hospital, HMO, or other allied health ambulatory facility for additional career training.

In as few as 20 weeks without lab training and 27 weeks with, trainees can complete the Medical Assistant training program.

Students are prepared for a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association.

This program offers a blend of online courses, additional in-person courses, and off-site externship training. The in-person and externship components are optional.
